Full Line of Vegetable Seedlings Now Ready

2013.05.21

May 21, 2013

We now have all our  summer vegetable seedlings ready.

We’ll have all of them at the farm and most of them at the Portland Farmers Market on Monument Square tomorrow, Wednesday, May 22. Despite the rain in the forecast!  On Saturday in Deering Oaks Park we’re going to try to bring every variety of every vegetable seedling that’s ready to plant. We’ve built three plant carts and we’ll give them a full workout. Come see how we did — and how grateful we are for the increased capacity of the “new” truck.

We’ll also be open at the farm this weekend, with even more — particularly annual flowers and hanging baskets — than could ever fit in even the new truck.

Hours at the farm are Friday 12-4, Saturday and Sunday from 10-3, AND MEMORIAL DAY FROM 10-3. In addition, as we always say, “If we’re here, we’re open.” Put more formally, “Other times by appointment or by chance.”

Hope to see you soon. Please tell us if you read this note.

Farmstand Hours for Early Spring

2013.05.07

May 7, 2013

The farmstand will open this coming weekend, beginning Friday, May 10.

We will be open three days a week until our produce is more abundant. We will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hours will be 12 – 4 on Fridays and 10 – 3 on Saturdays and Sundays.

We have many cool weather vegetable seedlings, as noted in our last post. All remain available, and we are starting to sell six types of basil for folks who can’t wait to smell fresh herbs and can keep them them in the house a while.

Other plants include bedding plants, young hanging baskets and some lettuce and herb tubs.

Come check out our quality and selection even if you’re not ready to plant yet. And we offer gift certificates, too.

Make someone happy with a plant.  Even yourself.

See you soon.
